Board member, Dr. John Uyanne published a new award-winning book, “The COVID-19 Pandemic: The Interplay of Medicine, Politics, and Economics in a Global Outbreak.” The book provides a detailed timeline-based analysis of the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, serving as a resource on the outbreak with information for researchers and scholars in public health. It will also serve as an indispensable resource for policymakers and civil society organizations operating locally and on the global turf.
This utilitarian perspective of the pandemic highlights the lackadaisical attitude to the epidemics and pandemics of past decades, resulting in a pandemic on a scale never before seen. In order to fight the pandemic and prevent the next one, it will demand genuine, responsible, proactive, and concerted efforts from individuals, governments, and the global scientific community.
The book is available now on Amazon.
