On December 2nd, UAPD Santa Barbara County members voted in favor of a two-year agreement (through November 2017). There were heated discussions over aspects of the agreement, with strong feelings expressed on both sides of the issue. Concerns about a 5% increase being based on performance were at the crux of the issue. The Union Bargaining Team strove to separate performance from all salary increases, however it was not possible to achieve that in this round of bargaining. The current and previous agreements also tied pay increases to performance.

For Public Health Physicians:
- 7% Base pay increase upon ratification and Board approval.
- 5% Base pay increase within 90 days based on performance.
- 3% base pay increase November 2016.
For Psychiatrists:
- 4% Base pay increase upon ratification and Board approval.
- 3% Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) Base Pay increase upon ratification and Board approval.
- 5% Base pay increase within 90 days based on performance.
- 3% Base pay increase November 2016.
